This is one of the newer and more popular Roblox experiences, at under a year old at the time of writing, boasting over 85 million visits. Timber is essentially a take on the classic Roblox tycoon game style wherein you get given a piece of land, and you need to develop it in various ways. The gimmick with this particular tycoon game is, as is suggested by the title, timber.

Timber
The objective of Timber is simple: chop down trees to collect wood, and use the money from the sale of said wood for expansion. You’ll need to expand your land to gain access to more efficient ways of processing wood. For instance, in the beginning, you only have access to a blip that sells wood for you. For each piece of wood, you get two coins. However, as you progress, you’ll unlock various wood processing units, the first of which increases your income to four coins for every piece of wood.
Expand
The prime objective of the game is to expand your available land. Instead of being able to purchase helpers or more advanced wood processing units from a store, each of these advancements is locked behind a specific plot of land. You can’t see where these features are either, which essentially forces you to expand as often as possible in every direction available to you.
Team up
Even though at first glance, Timber looks like a single-player game, there are numerous aspects of the game that promote interaction with other players. For starters, there’s an incentive to join the game’s group, as when you do, your axe will be two times faster than remaining alone. Additionally, there’s a massive tree that spawns on one of the islands that players need to chop down together for shared rewards.
Another community activity is that every tree that each person chops down counts toward a grand total. Once this total is reached, every player has the opportunity to claim extensive rewards.
Resource grinding, but fun
Essentially, Timber is a resource grinding game. Collect wood, sell wood, repeat. However, numerous other additions and gameplay aspects makes this one of the more collaborative and fun experiences that the Roblox has to offer.
